This policy applies to the MakersCN website and related services, including factory listing applications, profile corrections or withdrawal, sourcing requests, service bookings and communications with our team.

Sourcing requests: your name, email, destination and product requirements, together with company, quantity, budget and delivery date if you choose to provide them.

Factory listing applications: company name, location, main products, company website and introduction, and contact name, phone or WeChat and email. Factory, industrial cluster and production capability information may also come from company websites, public registers and other verifiable public sources.

Profile corrections or withdrawal, service bookings and communications: contact name, email, profile reference, correction or withdrawal details, and the selected service, destination, dates, duration and requirements relevant to the application. We retain reference numbers and communication and follow-up records. Each form identifies required and optional fields; missing required information may prevent us from handling it. Please exclude sensitive personal information unrelated to the service.

We use information to receive and verify listing applications, review and maintain public profiles, handle corrections or withdrawal, respond to sourcing requests, identify factories, arrange quotations and service bookings, and follow up. Where applicable, our grounds are steps at your request before a contract, performance of a contract, or legitimate interests in business communications, accurate profiles and platform security after considering your rights. We ask separately for consent to other uses that require it.

Submitting an application or request does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell personal information described in this policy or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Staff assignment may be automatic; people handle profile reviews, sourcing projects and service bookings. This does not involve solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Sourcing requests, listing applications, correction or withdrawal requests, booking records, customer records and personal contact details are not publicly displayed as submission records on the website. Access is limited to authorised sales and management staff and providers of necessary hosting, email or security services, according to business needs.

After verification and review, company information intended for public profiles, such as company name, location, main products, production capabilities and introduction, may be displayed on the website. Applying does not automatically publish a profile. Personal contact names, phone or WeChat and email used for verification and follow-up are not published with directory profiles. Corrections to public company information may be published after review.

Necessary product requirements may be discussed with candidate factories. We arrange sharing of your name, email or other personal contact details and direct introductions with you first. Where legally required, we disclose only necessary information to relevant authorities.

We retain information for as long as needed to handle applications, verify and maintain profiles, respond and follow up, provide services, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Access controls and other measures protect information, but transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure.

Platform services may involve international processing by the Hong Kong operator, factories in mainland China and service providers. Such processing must meet applicable transfer requirements. Contact our privacy email for information about recipients and applicable safeguards.

Cookies remember language preferences and salesperson referral codes for up to one year and 30 days respectively. A session cookie remembers dismissal of language suggestions. Clearing cookies may affect these functions. Submission checks and hashed network identifiers help prevent abuse.

The production website uses Umami Cloud to understand page visits, referring websites, devices, countries or regions, contact-button clicks and successful form submissions, and improve our website and services. The provider processes request technical information, including IP addresses and browsers, to generate statistics. We set no analytics cookies and send no names, emails, phone numbers, form contents, URL query parameters or request references. We enable neither session replay nor cross-site advertising tracking. Analytics is not loaded when your browser enables Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Under applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Information subject to legal retention requirements may not be deleted immediately.
